the space is just off Killingsworth, diagonal from the Northside Cup and Saucer location. We were seated by the window so I often found myself chewing slowly, staring at the crowds waiting outside, counting the open tables in Autentica and wondering what was so damn appealing about C&S. To be fair, I haven't been to the NE location, but still--Autentica if fucking delicious.
They tossed an amuse of old crusty bread, black beans and queso fresco, which, with their trio of salsas, (avocado, tomatillo and a super hot dry chile oil) made us drool over our plates waiting for our entrees.
Simply put, their Torta is the best breakfast sandwich I have had in a long time. Their enchiladas were also excellent, but not quite warm enough in the center. I wonder though, if the world will ever design the perfect utensil for eating enchiladas. Forks only do half the job and spoons? You know that won't work.

I really like this place and plan for a dinner visit soon. I still shudder about ordering the $7 guacamole side--i spied it on a nearby table, and it isn't huge--but i'll probably do it anyway.
